As you may know if you’ve been following my blog (you have my sympathy!), the Chilly Duathlon in November 2009 was my first-ever multisport race. If I’m honest; I’m not quite sure how to start this race report! Normally with a triathlon or duathlon there’s plenty to talk about: the transition, the different legs, the conditions etc etc. By comparison a simple ‘little’ road race seems, well, insignificant!

OK, so first off, apologies if this post gets a little long – there’s a lot to try to cram in! I’ll try to just focus on the race in this post and then do a separate one for the whole experience of being in China and watching both Alistair Brownlee and Helen Jenkins seal their world championships.
